Item DescriptionTommy Cooper T-shirt “Fezzes are cool”. Younger viewers may be unware of who Tommy Cooper was; he was a very tall man who (for some reason) wore a fez, and was unable to perform basic magic tricks. In order to distract from his magical incompetance he would pepper his act with some very basic visual jokes (for example – he would hold his hand out and ask “what’s that?”. He would then turn his hand around and say “one of them upsidedown”. Seriously funny stuff!) You really had to be there, and a quick click on You Tube can elighten you further. Sadly the fez loving wizard died in 1984 from a heart attack whilst peforming live on TV. People thought he was joking…. The Fez is of course also of interest to Doctor Who fans who follow Matt Smith’s fashion vanguard, after the Doctor expressed his recent views on the Fez’s fashion status.
