Velvet Underground T-shirt White Light White Heat T-shirt
Although the banana sporting ‘Velvet Underground and Nico’ may be the most famous of the band’s albums ‘White Light White Heat’ is perhaps the more deeply influential over those drawn to its’ abrasive rawness. This Velvet Underground t-shirt features the perfunctory album cover that makes no attempt to depict the “anti-beauty” of the subject matter.
The 1968 album was the last to feature violinist John Cale who nevertheless features quite heavily during the 8 minute spoken word track ‘The Gift’. This Velvet Underground t-shirt actually features the 1985 re-issue version of White Light White Heat T-shirts album cover. The re-issue features the text on two lines rather than the one line of the original and omits the faint black on black tattoo that can be seen on the original.
