T-shirt exhibitionism

As those outside the United Kingdom may not know the good people of “this sceptred isle” are currently in the midst of a General Election that could, just maybe, bring about the biggest change in U.K. politics since Andrew Neil was a mere twinkle in an Annabel regular’s eye.

What is this change? Well it may surprise some of our European readers that U.K. politics is dominated by just two parties, the Tory and the Labour party. However for the first time in living memory the Liberal Democrats may gain enough votes to upset this balance, creating a “hung parliament” and bring about real democratic change to the way that future governments are elected and created.

As a closet exhibitionist I’m naturally looking for ways to force my political opinion upon an unwilling audience. Happily one of mrcloud’s many penthouse apartments overlooks a public car park where people may leave their cars before going to vote. What better opportunity to broadcast sense to those still hesitant minds?

Having recently added our Beatles Revolver T-shirt to the site I naturally consulted the Fab Four for inspiration. How about a banner reading:

“My advice to those who die / Declare the pennies on your eyes” ?

Too cryptic perhaps? Well how about a photo of one of the runners with a more biting statement? A picture of Gordon Brown with:

“If you stand up like a nail then you will be knocked down”

Or David ‘Call Me Dave” Cameron with:

“Sleep cannot halt the doubt spreading through my mind”

Or, continuing the Manics‘ theme, plucky newcomer Nick Clegg with:

“I’ve been too honest with myself / I should have lied like everybody else”.

Well, maybe not. Perhaps this will do instead…
