Japanese CDs attract a lot of attention amongst dedicated fans and record collectors. They often come packaged in cardboard sleeves rather than plastic jewel cases and have a detached cardboard spine (called an obi stripe) that, being easy to lose, increases the value and collectability of Japanese imports.
