Alun Owen was entrusted to write the screen play after spending some time following the band around, he observed their lives as “a train and a room and a car and a room and a room and a room”. Despite the film’s light-heartedness, this observation and rollarcoaster nature of the film, hinted at the level of pandamonium that would eventually prompt the Beatles to cease touring.
